Citizens Police Academy 2023

The city of Montgomery Police Department is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for our third annual Citizens Police Academy! 
CPA students will get to see and experience what the job is like "behind the curtain" for our city police officers.  Applications will be accepted through March 31st or until the class is full.

The class will start on May 3, 2023 and run each Wednesday night from 6:30pm to 9pm each week through June 21, 2023.

The academy is intended to open lines of communication between the community and the police department. By allowing citizens a firsthand look at the department and how its operations are handled, citizens take away a better understanding of the police role in the community. Citizens bring a knowledge about their community and the problems in their neighborhoods, which helps the police learn and better understand the concerns of the citizens.
