Citizens Police Academy
The city of Montgomery Police Department is excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for our sixth annual Citizens Police Academy!
Get an inside look at a police officer's daily duties at the Citizens Police Academy. Apply by March 27th - space is limited. To apply, complete the form here: https://form.jotform.com/260416037941050 Be sure to print out the Ride Along Form and sign it in ink.
The class will start on April 1, 2026 and run each Wednesday night from 6pm to 8pm each week through June 10, 2026.
The Citizen Police Academy serves as a vital connection between law enforcement and the community. Through this program, participants gain comprehensive insight into departmental operations and law enforcement procedures. Simultaneously, community members provide valuable perspectives regarding neighborhood dynamics and concerns, enabling our officers to better understand and address local needs. This exchange of knowledge strengthens our partnership with the community we serve.
